BRYAN COUNTY, Oklahoma -

An Achille, Oklahoma, man was killed after he rolled his vehicle in Bryan County Saturday night. Troopers say the crash was alcohol related.

It happened just before 8 p.m. Saturday, on River Road, about one mile east of Chickasaw Road in Bryan County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report, a 1994 4-door Mercury driven by 50-year-old Tommy Nicholas was eastbound on River Road when it ran off the roadway to the left, striking an embankment.

The car then rolled one and half times, coming to rest on its top.

Nicholas was transported to TMC Hospital in Denison, Texas, where he later died.

According to the OHP report, Nicholas was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. Troopers say they did smell an odor of alcohol on Nicholas.

The cause of collision is listed as "alcohol-related" in the OHP report.
