Most Popular Baby Names In Oklahoma

It's one of the most important decisions new parents make: what to name their precious little bundle. The Social Security Administration released Friday the most popular baby names in Oklahoma. It closely mimics the most popular baby names nationwide.

The top five names for boys and girls in Oklahoma in 2011 were:


1. William (nationally: Jacob)

2. Mason (nationally: Mason)

3. Jacob (nationally: William)

4. Noah (nationally: Jayden)

5. Elijah (nationally: Noah)


1. Emma (nationally: Sophia)

2. Sophia (nationally: Isabella)

3. Isabella (nationally: Emma)

4. Olivia (nationally: Olivia)

5. Ava (nationally: Ava)

Nationally, Jacob has topped the most popular baby name list for 13 years. This is the first year Sophia has taken the number-one spot, topping the name Isabella which reined for two years at the top of the list for girls.
