Edmond Man Arrested After Elderly Woman's Body Found In Tub

Edmond police arrested a man after his aunt was found dead in a bathtub Saturday afternoon.

It happened around 3:20 p.m. Saturday. According to police, officers responded to a report of a possible drowning in the 1000 block of East Edwards. They found and 89-year-old woman dead.

Police arrested Ronald Sparks a short time later on one count of first degree murder.

The victim's name has not been released.

Police say this is the first homicide in the city of Edmond this year.
