A toddler in McCurtain County is in critical condition after suffering injuries in an ATV accident Sunday afternoon.

According to the police report, Pamela Cantrell, 57, of Broken Bow was driving a 2010 Polaris ATV on private land around a residence with the victim, 3-year-old Dayton Patrick.

The toddler grabbed the throttle causing the ATV to speed out of control, collide with a plant pot and crash into the residence where it climbed up a wall and flipped over backwards. Cantrell was thrown clear and the vehicle landed on top of the boy.
