A firearm was found in a locker at Jarman Middle School in Midwest City Wednesday afternoon.

Midwest City Police say a student found the weapon and reported it to school administrators. From there police were called and they took possession of the weapon.

A robotic call system, voiced by school principal Danette Hall, later notified parents of the incident, though some were concerned that the notification was sent out far too late.

According to the robo call, no one was arrested because no one was in possession of the weapon at the time. Police are continuing to investigate.
