Minor Injuries In Del City House Fire

DEL CITY, Oklahoma -

Investigators in Del City are still trying to determine what started a house fire Wednesday morning.

The fire started inside a home located in the 4100 block of S.E. 42nd Street around 5:45 a.m.

Officials said several family members were watching television when they began to smell smoke. The family members investigated and discovered the house was on fire.

All five people made it out safely, although one person did suffered a cut on his hand and another received mild smoke inhalation.

The family did not have any insurance. According to investigators with the Del City Fire Department the cause was "undetermined, but not suspicious." Damages to the structure and contents are estimated at $45,000.
