National Board Certified teachers will receive their $5,000 annual stipend, and school districts will be fully reimbursed for insurance benefits for teachers and support staff under a bill approved in the Senate.

The full Senate approved the $92.5 million supplemental funding bill Thursday on a 41-1 vote. It now heads to the full House before going to the governor, who is expected to sign it.

The bill also includes $34 million to refund local communities and counties for the state's portion of cleanup and other costs related to storm, and wildfire, related disasters and $5 million to the Department of Public Safety to pay for a trooper academy.

The measure also includes $1 million for equipment and personnel for the medical examiner's office.
