Injury Keeps Markelle Martin From Combine Drills

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana -

Former Oklahoma State free safety Markelle Martin will not take part in physical drills at the NFL combine.

Martin announced the news on his personal twitter account Friday saying:

"Pinched nerve and fluid on knee, won't be running or doing position drills at the Combine. Doing interviews and supporting my FS JOHNNY.T"

Martin was one of six Cowboys slated to take part in the four-day scouting combine that began Thursday in Indianapolis.

He also said on his Twitter account that the injury happened a few weeks ago.

Last season for Oklahoma State, Martin recorded 74 tackles including 53 solo take downs.
