A pharmacy employee stops an identity thief from filling a bogus prescription. According to an Edmond Police report, the employee at the Walgreen's located at 2nd and Bryant called a customer at home to inquire about a prescription that was turned in to the pharmacy. The customer knew nothing about the prescription. Turns out the man trying to fill the prescription was using the customer's name and address to fill a forged prescription for 90 Opana 90 mg tablets.

Police say once the victim told the Walgreen's employee that the man at the store was not him, the employee kept the forged prescription and the driver's license the man was using. The man left the store. It was later determined the driver's license contained the victim's name and address, but the picture was the actual man trying to fill the bogus prescription, according to the employee.

The victim told police he uses that Walgreen's, which is why his correct phone number was in the store's system. It was determined the victim's personal information and insurance have been used to fill other forged prescriptions around the metro area.

If anyone has information on the man pictured, please call Detective Greg Hunt at 405-359-4477.
