It started out as what appeared to be a scam, but a metro man says things went way too far when he said he wasn't interested.

The man says when he said "no," the caller started harassing him and made threats.

Randy Little got the first phone call from a blocked number about a year ago.

"They said they are in my area today and they had my address and said they would be glad to come by this afternoon and deliver my winnings," said Little, who was immediately suspicious. "I asked him some questions like what company do you work for? How do I get a hold of you again? What's your phone number?"

When the caller became evasive, Little, believing it was a scam, hung up, But the calls kept coming.

"Nights and evenings, could be 10 or 11 o'clock at night, might be 6 or 7 o'clock in the morning."

It all went on for about month. Then the calls stopped. Until Thursday.

"I said ‘Oh, no, not this again.' Sure enough, it was a man saying I had won a prize,"

Little again hung up. But one minute later the phone rang again.

"The gentleman came on and immediately started using four letter words, very vulgar language towards me," recalls Little, who immediately erased the messages so his sons didn't hear it.

"Before he got off the phone he said he knew where I lived and hung up."
