OKLAHOMA CITY – The 2011 season might not have ended the way Barry Sanders, Jr. would have liked.

After all, the Heritage Hall Chargers dropped a heartbreaker to Cascia Hall in the state semifinals.

Sanders was stuffed from a yard out, ending a season that was quite obviously state title or bust for the Chargers.

But looking back on his overall high school career paints a bigger and more illustrious picture: two state championships, numerous individual awards and scholarship offers from many of the top colleges in the country.

Certainly nothing to be ashamed of, to say the least.

"It's great to go out with two state championships, and looking back I feel accomplished," Sanders said.

The end of this part of Sanders' career only ushers in a new one as the next big decision is looming close: where to play college football.

Sanders will take part in the Jan. 7 Army All-American Game, where he will make his college decision known.

He has made his final four known for some time now: Florida State, Alabama, Stanford and Oklahoma State, in no particular order.

But he said it's just a coincidence that two of those schools will be facing off Monday night in the Fiesta Bowl.

"It's crazy to see those two playing, and I've talked to some coaches and it's weird talking about the game with some of those coaches because they know I am interested in both."

Sanders dropped by the News 9 studio this week for an exclusive interview covering a number of issues, including what appeals to him about each of his choices, the Fiesta Bowl showdown and the anticipation of the top high school game in the country.
