STILLWATER, Oklahoma — Oklahoma State has announced details for its annual Homecoming & Hoops that officially kicks off the 2011-12 basketball season.

The event will be held Friday, Oct. 18 at 9 p.m. inside Gallagher-Ina Arena and admission is free.

Both the men's and women's basketball teams will be introduced during the event, including several newcomers. The Cowboy squad features six new players while five newcomers dot the Cowgirl roster.

Both teams will take the court for intrasquad scrimmages and the evening will also feature a dunking contest.

The Cowboy Basketball team will play its first exhibition game on Wednesday, Nov. 2, as OSU hosts Panhandle State at 7 p.m.

The Cowgirls first exhibition game will be Wednesday, Nov. 9 against Fort Hays State at 7 p.m.

Oklahoma State's first regular-season game will be Friday, Nov. 11 vs. Texas A&M–Corpus Christi at 7 p.m. while the Cowgirls open the regular season on Sunday, Nov. 13, against Rice at 2 p.m.
