DALLAS – Dez Bryant and Dan Bailey may be playing for a different Cowboys team these days, but that doesn't change their impressive play on the field.

Sunday the two former Oklahoma State Cowboys both lit up the score board for Dallas scoring 24 of the Cowboys 30 points in the game against Detroit.

Despite not practicing all week due to a bruised quadricep injury he received in the season opener, Bryant returned to the starting lineup for the first time Sunday.

And it didn't take long for him to make his presence known.

At the 9:34 mark in the first quarter Bryant scored on a 25-yard pass from Tony Romo. Bailey's extra point attempt was good to put Dallas up 7-0.

In the second, Romo connected with Bryant again, this time on a 6-yard pass for the touchdown. Once again Bailey's extra point field goal was good making it 14-0.

Later on in the quarter Bailey blasted a 41-yard field goal between the uprights for a 17-0 score.

Then just before the half, Bailey converted a 35-yard field goal to give the Cowboys a 20-3 lead at the break.

In the second half, Bailey added another extra point after Dallas scored on a 1-yard touchdown pass from Romo to Jason Witten making it 27-3.

Detroit got going in the second and scored on returns off of two Romo interceptions.

With less than a minute left in the third, Bailey punched in a 23-yard field goal for a 30-17 game.

Detroit's strong second half propelled them to two fourth quarter touchdowns and a field goal to give them the 34-30 win and give them an undefeated 4-0 start this season.

Overall, Bryant and Bailey each scored 12 points for Dallas on the game. Combined the pair scored 24 of the Cowboys 30 points.

Through four games of this year's regular season, Bryant and Bailey have combined to scored 63 of the Cowboys' 99 points this season with 45 of those points scored by Bailey alone. That equals out to the pair scoring 63.6 percent of Dallas' points thus far this season.

Bailey's strong performance comes after he tied a rookie record with six field goals Monday to carry the Cowboys to an 18-16 win over the Washington Redskins.

For Detroit, Brandon Pettigrew, another former OSU Cowboy , tallied six receptions for 64 yards on the night.

Dallas (2-2) has a bye week to prepare for its next matchup on Oct. 16 on the road against the New England Patriots.
