PUSHMATAHA COUNTY, Oklahoma – A triple motorcycle accident left one bike rider dead and two others injured in a bizarre accident Saturday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Susan Maree Banda, 44, from Roanoke, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene on Indian Highway three and a half miles east and five miles south of Albion, Oklahoma.

Banda was riding northbound with a group of three other motorcycles when the lead motorcycle lost control on a curve and crashed. The lead cyclist radioed to a partner who slowed and pulled off the highway. Banda saw the second motorcycle pull off the highway and lost control of her bike, laying it on its side. The fourth cyclist ran over Banda, killing her. The fourth motorcyclist then struck a guard rail.

The trooper's report stated that Roger D. Caldwell, 43, of Denton, Texas, was taken to Sparks Regional Medical Center in stable condition.

The condition of the third downed rider was not listed in the report.

Banda's body was taken to the Tulsa medical examiner's office.

All of the motorcyclists were wearing helmets.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
