OKLAHOMA CITY -- Two Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputies ended up in the hospital Monday afternoon after trying to serve a warrant.

The sheriff's office says the two deputies were attacked by three men. One of the deputies suffered from chest pains, the other injuries to his arm.

As of Monday night, authorities say two of the three men responsible were still on the loose.

When sheriff's deputies came to the house on S.W. 54th Street looking for Jesse Samples, they were directed to a shed behind the house.

According to the sheriff's department, the deputies had to force their way into the shed, but once there, they found Samples and tried to take him into custody.

"That's when basically things went south very quickly," said Sheriff's department spokesperson Mark Myers. "The three men inside, two men and Jesse Samples, were fighting the deputies in an attempt to escape.

The deputies were injured and the three men got away, launching a manhunt that led to most of the block being cordoned off.

"A whole bunch of cops on this side and a whole bunch of cops on this side and in the house," is how 10-year-old Emily Perry described the street as she was walking home from school.

Law enforcement eventually found Samples inside the original house.

"He was hiding under a bed, he would not obey commands and at that point two tasers were deployed striking him," Myers said.

Samples was then taken into custody. The two other men however managed to escape.

Monday evening, investigators were still looking into who those other two men were and they were trying to locate them.

Samples brother Johnny was also arrested for harboring a fugitive. He was in the house where Jesse was found. He was not one of the men who attacked the deputies.

The reason deputies were looking for Jesse Samples in the first place he was wanted on burglary and drug charges.
