OSU Practice Report: Randle Ready To Play
STILLWATER, Oklahoma – Oklahoma State returns nearly all of its offensive starters from last season, but one key running back will be missing: Kendall Hunter.
Hunter put in four good years at OSU before heading to the NFL, but if early indications hold true, the Cowboys' replacements at the position should be more than serviceable.
Sophomore running back Jeremy Smith is more of a straightforward runner, rushing for seven touchdowns last year.
And fellow sophomore Joseph Randle was at least as productive, putting up 89 all-purpose yards per game as a true freshman last year.
With Hunter gone, the spotlight will be mainly on the 1-2 punch that quietly worked hard in his shadow last year.
The Cowboys open the season in just more than a week against Louisiana, and Randle told News 9 the coaches will have the team fully ready to go.
