STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- OSU's offense is among the best in the country each year, but the team can only go as far as its defense can take it.

The Cowboys have shown consistent improvement under Bill Young on the defensive side, but Gundy said they still have a ways to go if they want to achieve some lofty team goals.

Meanwhile, OSU's biggest position question mark continues to be what many call the second most important position on the field besides the quarterback - defensive tackle.

Oklahoma State has had trouble bringing in stud players at the position, but Gundy said he thinks a host of younger players can shore up the front line.
