ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – The Oklahoma City Redhawks feel in their series opener against the first place Albuquerque Isotopes who cruised to an 11-4 victory.

The Isotopes scored in six different innings to build as much as a 10 point lead entering the ninth inning.

Oklahoma City's effort of a comeback in the ninth was too little and too late as OkC managed only seven hits to Albuquerque's 17.

Randy Keisler got the win for the Isotopes after pitching six innings striking out ten and allowing four hits and two walks for his fourth consecutive win. Meanwhile, OKC starter Sergio Perez picked up the loss after allowing six runs, two earned, with seven walks and three strikeouts in five innings.

Oklahoma City (30-43) opened the scoring against Los Angeles Dodgers rehabilitation starter Jonathan Broxton. Brian Bogusevic walked with two out, stole second and scored on a double by Robinson Cancel to take the early1-0 lead.

Albuquerque (42-30) took advantage of two-out mistakes in the bottom of the inning. With a runner at second and two out, RedHawks shortstop Anderson Hernandez threw a Jerry Sands ground ball away, bringing in the tying run at 1-1. After a two-out walk, J.D. Closser, Jamie Hoffmann and Corey Smith each delivered an RBI single for a 4-1 Isotopes lead.

Hoffmann led off the third inning with a home run, his 12th of the season, for a 5-1 score. In the fifth inning Ivan DeJesus, Jr. drove in a run with a fielder's choice for a 6-1 Albuquerque lead.

Albuquerque added three runs against reliever Patrick Urckfitz in the sixth inning with a Randy Keisler sacrifice fly and Eugenio Velez two-run double for a 9-1 score.

J.D. Closser drove in a run in the seventh inning with a two-out single for a 10-1 lead. Isotopes third baseman Corey Smith led off the eighth inning with a home run to left-centerfield for an 11-1 score.

The RedHawks scored three runs in the ninth inning. Collin Delome knocked in a run with a groundout before Brian Bogusevic doubled in two runs for an 11-4 final.

The two teams return to action Wednesday at 8:05 p.m.
