OKLAHOMA CITY -- Several people who lost limbs will be able to get new prosthetics thanks to runners who filled the Adventure District Saturday.
News 9's Toby Rowland fired the starting pistol before taking off in the race.
Limbs for Life provides new limbs for people who can't afford them. The money raised Saturday will help seven people right here in Oklahoma.
"Within the next two weeks, there will be seven people who can't walk today because they don't have an artificial limb, walking, returning to a normal life," said Craig Cavras, executive director of Limbs for Life.
The run went through the Oklahoma City Zoo and ended in the in-field of Remington Park.
