OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police have released more information about a police chase and crash that ended with a suspect dead and two police officers in the hospital.

At 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, a man called 911 and reported he'd spotted his stolen SUV and was following the driver. Officers arrived a few minutes later and located the SUV near N.W. 62nd Street and Tulsa.

Officers turned on their lights and sirens and began following the vehicle. The driver sped off and refused to stop. At one point, the suspects in the SUV and the officers exchanged gunfire.

A few minutes later, the suspects crashed the SUV in the 3500 block of N.W. 58th Street. The patrol car also crashed in the area.

Both suspects leaped out of the SUV and began running in a nearby business parking lot. One of them had been shot and collapsed in the parking lot. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police are still trying to confirm his identity.

A security guard caught the second suspect, 20-year-old Mandirous Kamisizian. He now faces charges of first-degree murder, shooting with intent to kill and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

The two officers who crashed their patrol car were also taken to a nearby hospital, where they were treated and released.

The Oklahoma City Police Department says Officer Jonathan Beasley, Officer Dustin Wright and Sergeant Renaldo Sanchez were involved in the incident. The department is still investigating.
