Airman Blogger Back on Oklahoma Soil

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Airman Heather Bennett, who's been sharing blogs with News9.com during her Afghanistan deployment, is safely back on Oklahoma soil.

Bennett, along with others from the 72nd Security Forces Squadron out of Tinker Air Force Base, made it home safely Wednesday afternoon.

Bennett appeared emotional when asked about her final blog before leaving Afghanistan.  "Knowing that our job was done and it was time to pass the torch and get out of Dodge, it's a good feeling," Bennett said.  "Something about being home, it's just overwhelming."

Bennett claims she has one more blog to share with News9.com, one that deals with her homecoming and the bittersweet emotions that surround it.
