Charges Reduced For Mother, Friend In Teen's Meth Death

The mother of a teenager who died of a meth overdose in June 2010 is no longer facing a murder charge.

STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- The mother of a teenager who died of a meth overdose in June 2010 is no longer facing a murder charge.

A Payne County judge reduced the charge for Doris Rigsby from first degree murder to child neglect resulting in death.

A murder charge against Heather Gaddis was also dropped. She was accused of selling the drugs the teenager took.

Linda Tucker, 15, died after using meth while at a family reunion at Lake Carl Blackwell on June 26, 2010.

Her mother's boyfriend, Jeffery Phillips, is still facing a murder charge for allegedly injecting Tucker with the drugs.
