NORMAN, Oklahoma -- A group of eight long-term exchange students from Japan attending Oklahoma Christian University are wondering when they will be able to return home and what they will encounter once they do.

The student were supposed to fly out Saturday, but due to the earthquake and subsequent tsunami, their return home is up in the air.

"Of course they are sad and in shock," said Greg Gillham, international admissions counselor at Oklahoma Christian University. "Most have made contact with their family, but not all. And some are just now seeing the video of the devastation."

Oklahoma Christian has had a 30 year partnership with Ibaraki Christian University in Ibaraki, Japan, which is about two hours north of Tokyo.
