OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma County judge has issued an arrest warrant for a 22-year-old man accused of stabbing a Target employee Friday morning.
Police said Antwaun Lavell Wells and two other people tried to steal more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from the store. An employee chased them outside to retrieve the stolen goods. Officers said when the worker confronted Wells, he stabbed the employee.
The worker was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening wounds.
All three suspects jumped into a car and sped away. A Midwest City police lieutenant stopped the car and all three suspects jumped out and ran. Officers arrested one suspect, 25-year-old Michelle Dee Turner, at the scene.
Police said witnesses identified one of the other suspects as Wells. He's wanted for larceny, assault with a dangerous weapon and felony attempting to elude an officer. Police said he has an extensive criminal record.
