My 2 Cents: Teacher Suspended After Blogging About Students

Man, I had some really patient teachers when I was in high school. I'd have never graduated if I'd had someone like Natalie Munroe.

She's the teacher near Philadelphia who took to the Internet to vent her anger and frustration with her students.

Some are hailing her for her forthrightness, I'm going to blast her for her negativity and foolishness.

Her ugly rants about her students show her to be a malcontent who has no business in the classroom.

Some of the things she wrote about the unnamed students: "a complete and utter jerk" "has no redeeming qualities" "out of control" "lazy" "dresses like a streetwalker."

What's to admire about saying those things?

Yes, I'm aware some of them are probably spot on about a lot of kids, but if that attitude oozes out of her into her blog, you know it oozes into the classroom too.

She's been suspended. She should be fired.

And don't give me the line about her free speech. She can speak all she wants, but taxpayers don't have to continue to pay her while she's bashing their kids.
