ENID, Oklahoma -- The Enid Police Department is warning parents and children to be careful and extremely vigilant after a man tried to kidnap a 16-year-old girl Monday morning on her way to school.
The girl said she was walking in the 600 block of East Broadway when a man approached her and tried to lure her into his car. She managed to get away.
The man was driving a black, older model, two-door vehicle. The victim could not describe the make, model or tags.
The girl did give police a detailed description of the suspect. He was Hispanic, in his mid 20s, with a medium build. He was wearing a black, short-sleeved T-shirt and baggy blue jeans. He had short dark hair on his head which was spiked in the front, and he also appeared unshaven with scruffy facial hair.
Enid police worked with the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation to develop a sketch of the suspect. If you recognize the person in the sketch or have any information about the case, call the Enid Police Department at 580-242-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 580-233-6233.
