Edmond Police Look For Girl Taken By Non-Custodial Mother

The Edmond Police Department is trying to track down a mother who took her daughter, but did not have legal guardianship of her.

EDMOND, Oklahoma -- The Edmond Police Department is trying to track down a mother who took her daughter, but did not have legal guardianship of her.

Eight-year-old Dylana Smith's mother picked her up from Freeman Elementary School Friday morning. Police were notified that afternoon.

Dylana's aunt has legal custody of the child. Police did not believe the girl was in any danger, but they've asked for the public's help. Anyone with information about Dylana's whereabouts should call Edmond police
