One of the businesses was robbed for a second time in three weeks.
Police responded to the robberies at about 9:30 a.m. at the stores on the southeast corner of N.W. 36th Street and Western Avenue.
A suspect tried to run, at one point trying to jump into the bed of a pickup truck as it passed by, but the driver of the truck fled the scene.
Officers caught up with the man at N.W. 29th Street and Western Avenue. Once in handcuffs, he tried to run again, forcing officers to taser him.
