OSAGE COUNTY, Oklahoma -- Green Country is turning into Tinseltown. A film crew is shooting a movie starring Ben Affleck and other celebrities across Northeast Oklahoma.

On Thursday, the set location was in Osage County and Pawhuska was abuzz with possible celebrity sightings.

"I hope to see Ben Affleck," said Michael Burk.

"I don't really know what to look for. Ben Affleck, I think I would know him," said Carolyn Tolson.

Hollywood was motion at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. It was the latest scene for Terrence Malick's new movie, which is currently untitled, and has been shrouded in secrecy from the start.

Locals say the church makes for a beautiful setting.

"The stained-glass windows are absolutely gorgeous. They are on any tour that comes to Pawhuska," Tolson said.

"Pawhuska is on the map," Burk said. "It's been used as a backdrop of movies before."

"It would make a good background for whatever they are doing down there and I understand it's a wedding or something?" Tolson said.

The movie has been described as a romance. Downtown, the crew was getting the next set ready at the Triangle Building for some sort of restaurant scene.

"It's one of the most unique buildings in Oklahoma, your triangle building," said Jeff Phillippi said. "There's probably only a few in the nation and we have one of them and they are putting it to good use right now."

Phillippi works at a business right across the street.

Lacie Lowry, The News On 6: "Have you seen anyone famous?

Jeff Phillippi, Pawhuska resident: "I saw Ben the other evening.

Lacie Lowry, The News On 6: "Oh, you are on a first name basis now?"

Jeff Phillippi, Pawhuska resident: "Well I wouldn't exactly say that."

But no celebrity sightings Thursday.

On Friday, the crew will be shooting in downtown Pawhuska at the Triangle Building. They will have most of the streets blocked off so the public can't get on the set or even near it.

If all goes well, they hope to be finished in Pawhuska by Friday night.
