Fugitive Spotted Near Oklahoma State Fair

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office Warrant Team is searching for a fugitive wanted for violent charges.

According to the sheriff's office, 48-year-old Donald Ray Sanders is facing charges that include kidnapping, first- degree rape, rape by instrumentation, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possession of controlled dangerous substance, maintaining a place where CDS is kept and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sanders is wanted for a rape that occurred in Valley Brook in August of 2010. The sheriff's office said a female friend visited him, fell asleep and woke up with her hands bound and was raped by Sanders. During the attack Sanders reportedly also cut the victim with a knife and threatened to kill her and the victims' children.

The sheriff's office reports that on Thursday, September 23 Sanders was spotted at a convenience store near the Oklahoma State Fair.

Sanders has spent years in prison after being convicted of several crimes.

Sanders may have changed his appearance to a very short haircut and no facial hair.
