OKLAHOMA CITY -- NEWS 9's Amanda Taylor emceed the Better Business Bureau of Central Oklahoma's award ceremony.

The Better Business Bureau of Central Oklahoma honored companies who went above and beyond to settle consumer complaints with the Torch Award.

Once it was over, some of the winners gave their advice on becoming a better business.

"Take care of their issues immediately, because once it lingers on, first as a business owner it's going to cost you more money, second of all it makes an upset customer," Brett Claxton with Champion Windows said.

NEWS 9's Executive Producer Kari King was given a special honor for her work promoting consumer awareness.
