WYNNEWOOD, Oklahoma – A Wynnewood bondsman who is at the center of a bribery investigation has taken his own life, according to the Garvin County sheriff.

Last week Louis Perry and his wife Mona were arrested and briefly jailed for allegedly trying to bribe the Carter County District Attorney. The Perrys bonded out of jail, while the investigation continued.

The Garvin County sheriff says that Louis Perry shot himself last night at his residence in Wynnewood.

The Carter County District Attorney has recused himself from the case, and the district attorney in Bryan County has agreed to take over the case if the Attorney General approves the appointment.
