Oklahoma City Motorcycle Wreck Injures Driver, Kills Passenger

Oklahoma City police are investigating a fatal motorcycle wreck that took place early Sunday morning.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police are investigating a fatal motorcycle wreck that took place early Sunday morning.

According to police, 23-year-old Joe Romero was riding a motorcycle when he struck a curb at S.W. 86th Street and S. Hillcrest Drive. Both Romero and his passenger, 27-year-old Lyndsey Hulsizer, were ejected on impact.

Police said neither Romero nor Hulsizer were wearing a helmet.

Hulsizer was taken to OU Medical Center where she later died. Romero sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He is expected to recover.

Police said Romero showed signs of intoxication. He has been placed under arrest upon release from the hospital.
