Man Injured in Wood Shop Fire in Deer Creek

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office and Deer Creek Fire Department are investigating a fire that injured one man.

EDMOND, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office and Deer Creek Fire Department are investigating a fire that injured one man.

Emergency crews found a man with burns to his face and arms when they arrived at 6508 N.W. 176th Street around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

The victim said he noticed a fire inside a wood shop behind his residence and went to check it out. When he opened the shop door, he was burned.

The victim was transported to the hospital. His name has not been released.

It is unclear what caused the fire.
