OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police are seeking the public's help identifying a man suspected in an auto theft.

According to police, on June 12 a woman left her car running while she went inside a convenience store in the 4500 block of south Interstate 35 Service Road. Surveillance video then shows the man getting into the car and leaving westbound on S.E. 44th Street.

The woman's dog was also inside the vehicle. Officers located this vehicle three days later, when it was involved in a hit-and-run accident. The dog was never recovered.

Police describe the suspect as a white male wearing a dark shirt and a baseball cap.

If anyone has any information about the incident they should call Crime Stoppers 405-235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous, and may be eligible for a cash reward.
