Third Quake in Less Than 24 Hours Hits Just Outside of Harrah

A 2.6 magnitude earthquake struck 2 miles northwest of Harrah. It was 19 miles east of Oklahoma City.

HARRAH, Oklahoma -- A 2.6 magnitude earthquake struck 2 miles northwest of Harrah Thursday afternoon.

The quake hit about 19 miles east of Oklahoma City.

This was the third reported earthquake in Oklahoma in less than 24 hours.

Researchers said quakes of 2.5 to 3.0 magnitude are typically the smallest felt by humans.
