OKLAHOMA CITY -- Firefighters battled a large house fire on the northwest side of the metro.
The home was located near 234th Street and Sara Road.
It is unclear what started the fire. Because the home is in a rural area, firefighters had to bring in water. Crews were able to drag a line out to the closest fire hydrant about 1/2 mile away.
A Piedmont police officer was the first to arrive on scene, and he was able to get inside to grab some pictures, a laptop, and a bible.
No injuries have been reported.
The home will likely be a total loss.
