TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma -- Cherokee County authorities say the body of a man who had been missing for more than week has been found.

Undersheriff Jason Chennault says 60-year-old Robert Audd was discovered in a wooded area on his property Tuesday afternoon. Chennault says Audd had several rental houses on his land, and a renter called the sheriff's office to report a bad odor.

Chennault says it appears someone had tried to conceal the body, which was sent to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy to determine a time and cause of death.

Audd was last seen May 10, and his family reported his disappearance to authorities a few days later.
