Memorial Service Planned for Conservative Radio Talk Show Host Mark Shannon

OKLAHOMA CITY – A memorial service will be held this week to remember long-time radio talk show host Mark Shannon.

Shannon lost his battle with leukemia early Saturday morning. The 58-year-old was diagnosed with leukemia in 2000. He is survived by his wife, Kris.

Shannon began his radio career in 1974 in Colorado. His Oklahoma City career began in 1983 with a seven-year stint at KJYO.

The service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on May 13 at Faith Bible Church in Edmond.
