OKLAHOMA CITY – Brian Bosworth is learning the hard way why long-distance motorcyclists earn membership in the "Iron Butt Association."
The former OU Football legend is riding 1,500 miles from California to Oklahoma City to raise funds for the Children's Hospital. He left Venice, California Tuesday night and is expected to arrive in Bricktown at 7 p.m. tonight as part of his Boz Hogz: Ride for Angels.
"It's going excellent," Bosworth said this morning as he was driving through New Mexico. "You get a little tired after you get past that 1,000 mile marker."
Bosworth was about 150 miles outside of Amarillo and joked that his butt was numb so he now knows why they say long distance riders earn membership in the Iron Butt Association.
