OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police are mourning the passing of one of their own and a pioneer on the force.
Ina M. Miller-Faldo was 83-years-old and was known by her fellow officers as Tiny. She was commissioned in 1955 as one of six female police officers and in 1977 she was the first female to be promoted to Sergeant.
Thanks to Tiny and women like her the Oklahoma City Police Department currently employs 120 full-time commissioned female police officers.
