Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Sites Open in Norman

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Tax Day is looming. April 15 is next Thursday. If you haven't filed your taxes yet, free help is available to those who qualify.

There are four Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites in Norman. Volunteers at these sites provide free assistance to taxpayers who earn less than $49,000. One of the sites has already saved $23,000 for the people they've helped.

Individuals need to make sure to bring the following documents to their appointment; a Photo ID, W-2s, 1099, Social Security cards for all family members and any other tax-related documents.

The four VITA site locations are:

CSBI, Wing B (sponsored by RSVP)

For individuals earning less than $49,000

Open through April 13

Hours: Tues. 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Call for appointment)

Norman Public Library (sponsored by OU College of Law)

Hours: Wed. & Thurs. 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. (First come first served)

Norman Public Library (sponsored by AARP)

Norman Senior Citizen's Center (sponsored by AARP)

Hours: Tues.-Thurs. 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. (First come first served)
