EL RENO, Oklahoma -- An 18-year-old man was killed in El Reno overnight Sunday. Two men are in custody in connection to what police believe was a fatal stabbing. Jeremy A. Pendleton and Damon L. Richey were arrested near the scene.

El Reno Police responded to the 300 block of West Hayes at about 2:30 a.m. on a complaint of vandalism. They saw a black car leaving the location and stopped the vehicle.

One of the car's occupants ran on foot but was caught a few blocks away.

Upon further investigation at the house, police found an 18-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene from what appeared to be a stab wound.

Jeremy Pendleton, the 28-year-old man that ran from the car, was booked on complaints of first-degree murder, malicious injury to property and escape from lawful detention. Nineteen-year-old Damon Richey was held on complaints of conspiracy to commit murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and malicious injury to property.

The other occupants of the black car, two adult females and one juvenile female, were questioned and released without charges.

El Reno Police say the incident is believed to be the result of an earlier argument that happened sometime last week.

The victim's name has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
