OKLAHOMA CITY -- Stephanie Wilcoxson was found dead the Wednesday before Christmas Eve, and new toxicology reports from the medical examiner reveal how the 11-year-old girl died.

OSBI officials said the girl had been dead in her Noble home for several days prior to authorities being notified. Authorities called her death suspicious. However, there were no visible signs of trauma on the 11-year-old.

The M.E.'s office released the results of Wilcoxson's toxicology report Tuesday. The report indicated the child died of acute methadone intoxication.

While the medical examiner has ruled the cause of death a suicide, OSBI investigators are still working on the case.

Stephanie Wilcoxson was a sixth-grader at Curtis Inge Middle School in Noble. She had attended Noble schools since kindergarten.
