Suspect Crashes Following High-Speed Chase

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A woman is facing several charges after she refused to pull over and led authorities on a high-speed chase.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper tried to pull over a vehicle at Southeast 44th Street and Interstate 35 just after 9 p.m., but the woman sped off.

She finally pulled over a short time later, but when a trooper started to walk towards the woman's car, she backed into the OHP patrol car and took off again.

The suspect eventually lost control of the vehicle and crashed near Southeast 44th and Bryant Avenue.

She was taken to a hospital to be checked out and will be booked into jail on several charges.

The woman's name has not been released.
