OKLAHOMA CITY -- Tommie Harris, Mark Clayton and Roy Williams rolled up their sleeves to get the shots they needed for a trip to Uganda. The trip is part of an effort called "Pros for Africa."
Several NFL players along with a local team of doctors and volunteers will travel to Uganda next month to feed thousands, set up clinics and build wells.
NEWS 9's Amy McRee and The News On 6's LeAnne Taylor will also be heading to Uganda with the Pros for Africa team.
NEWS 9 and The News On 6 will have live reports starting the week of March 15 and will air a Uganda Special on April 21.
OKBlitz.com's Dean Blevins sat down with Vickings running back Adrian Peterson to talk about his upcoming trip to Uganda with the Pros for Africa team.
"I've always, you know, dreaming about being able to help others. You know, that's what it's all about. Like I said, it's going to be a nice experience for us to be over in Uganda," Peterson said.
