OKLAHOMA CITY -- There's a risk of snow developing Thursday night in Northwest Oklahoma and spreading into the metro late Thursday night and Friday morning.
Approximately 1 to 4 inches are possible. However, temperatures will likely stay at or just above freezing in the Oklahoma City area.
At the moment, roads Friday morning are expected to be wet with some accumulations possible on bridges and overpasses resulting in slick conditions.
The storm system will move out quickly with precipitation ending in the metro by or shortly after noon Friday.
The next winter type system is still expected to hit the state late Sunday & Monday.
Oklahoma City officials said almost two dozen salt trucks will be out deicing roadways as soon as conditions begin to deteriorate.
Crews treated bridges and overpasses with a salt brining solution on Thursday.
