CHICKASHA, Oklahoma -- In Chickasha more than 300 people stood in the cold for hours in order to get free dental care.

For the third straight year, Dr. John Phillips has offered free Dentistry from the Heart at his Chickasha clinic on the eve of Valentine's Day.

"I don't have any medical or dental insurance, and this is the only way I can get it done," Jennifer Brooks, Chickasha resident.

David Jackson drove two hours to get to the free clinic.

"My teeth are terrible, and they need all to be taken out so I can get dentures," Jackson said.

Dentistry from the Heart is only in its third year, but its fame is growing.

This year several dentists from out of state, including California, Missouri and Tennessee, are volunteering their services. Dr. Tony Feck from Lexington, Kentucky, said he's been inspired to copy the Chickasha program.

"You can't experience it and not want to take it elsewhere," Feck said.

This year's Dentistry From the Heart gave away well over $100,000 worth of free dental care.
