OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma City police officer and two others were taken to an area hospital after a three car collision.
Police said a car was speeding southbound on Sooner Road, cutting in and out of traffic when it swerved into the officer's cruiser, which was going northbound. The impact caused the officer to hit another car.
The damage was so severe, emergency crews had to cut the officer out of his car.
"He got hit from behind on the back passenger side and all the way down the driver's side of the vehicle by the car that was northbound," said Oklahoma City Police Lt. Roger Bratcher.
Each driver was taken to the hospital. Their names and conditions are unknown.
The Oklahoma City police officer involved in the crash is expected to be okay.
