OKLAOMA CITY -- A family is thanking God after their 18-month-old child survived a near-drowning in southeast Oklahoma City.
Kasie Condit slipped away from her mother and ventured to a nearby koi pond.
"I turned to the right and I saw her with her head. I saw her head underneath the pool, and I just started screaming," said Kasie's mother Yolita Morse. "She looked awful blue. She was dead when I saw her. I really thought she was dead."
Victor Ferguson, Kasie's grandfather, also witnessed the scary event. He said he thought his granddaughter was dead. He immediately gave the child CPR and prayed for her survival.
Ferguson was able to revive Kasie, who made a full recovery after spending the night in a hospital.

The family decided to fill the pond and make it into a child's sandbox.
